Laragh's Shadow must have heard his name and assumed he needed to stay close to mom.   For most of the brief time he was with her, he stayed glued to her like a shadow.  Hence the name.  He is truly a love bug.  In addition to that cuteness, he really has it all going on.  Head feather bone conformation.  Keep an eye on this guy, he'll be fun to watch grow.  After losing his mother he went through a rough couple weeks.  Thanks to Suzanne Thomas reading his story on Facebook, she contacted us and offered Shadow's half sister "Luna" as a surrogate mother (Luna had just finished weaning her first foal).  Rebecca and her husband drove up to Burleson that day and brought her back.  Although she allowed Shadow to nurse almost immediately, it took about two weeks before she accepted him to stay with her full time.  It truly saved his life.  He is growing well now, as you can see.  He will make someone a fine colt, or gelding if that's your preference.
